2....The Little Voices

Nagging doubts? Cold sweats? Laying awake at night? Good, use those voices in your head wisely.

Small and home business planning

You are the best judge of your ability and whether you will succeed or fail. If you sit bolt upright in the middle of the night with a feling you have forgotten something, then chances are you have. Keep a notebook with you at all times and write these thoughts in it, you might annoy your partner with your nocturnal scribblings, but how annoyed will they be if you all find yourself on the street in six months because you forgot about a really important detail that came to you at 1am.

Ask questions of everyone you deal with. Your customers, your banker, your accountant, your lawyer. All of these people are assets for you to utilise. The combined knowledge of the people around you far outweighs the knowledge that you have stuffed in your grey matter.

If something does surface during the planning stage that you are not comfortable with, then take note of it. If the little voice say "I really don't want to work seven days a week" then thats probably an important sign.

Its ok to be worried and stressed, but if that worry and stress is overwhelming before you even launch your business, then again, an important sign is flashing and don't ignore it.
